“INGO ARMENIA” Insurance CJSC was established in 1997 as “EFES” Insurance CJSC. Օn the same year on the 2-nd of September the Company was granted a Non-life insurance license by the Ministry of finance and economy. Later in 2001 according to the order of the Minister of finance and economics the Company was given the right to execute life insurance, and on the 28-th of December 2004 “INGO ARMENIA” obtained Life insurance license.

On December 2003 the 75% of the Company’s shares was purchased by “Ingosstrakh" Russian Insurance CJSC, after which the Company was renamed into “INGO ARMENIA” Insurance CJSC. Nowadays “INGO ARMENIA” is the legal member of “INGO” (International Network of Guarantees and Obligations) Group, which includes such famous companies as “Ingosstrakh” /Russia/, “SOFAG” /Germany/, “INGO NORD” /Finland/, “Garant” /Austria/, “INGO UKRAINE” /Ukraine/, etc.

To be in line with the changes accomplished in the sphere of insurance of the country in 2006 the Company abandoned its Life insurance license, in order to perfect in the sphere of Non-life insurance and to secure the gained positions in the market.

According to the Ranking of “ArmInfo” rating marketing information agency “INGO ARMENIA” has secured its leading position for the last 5 years by the main financial indicators describing activity of insurance companies. Thus by the results of 2009 the Company is the leader by the amount of total written premiums and paid insurance compensations, as well as by the amount of net income, which exceeded AMD 452 mln in 2009 recording an 82% increase in comparison with the previous year.

“INGO ARMENIA” cooperates with leading reinsurance companies with the aim of reinsurance of the undertaken risks.
